Ebbisham Sports club held its inaugural RACKETBALL HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIPS during August - October 2005, culminating in a fantastic Finals Night combined with a Caribbean Night social.

There were 26 Ebbisham entrants playing with handicaps ranging from -25 to +8, best of 3 games to 15, American scoring (point per rally). As well as the main Handicap competition, 1st round losers competed in a Plate event, with Cup and Plate trophies generously sponsored by CHALLENGE TROPHIES of North Cheam.

Congratulations to TREVOR FOALE and to NICK KASSAM who were Handicap and Plate Champions respectively against valiant runners-up MICHAEL ROBINSON and JIM MAY.

The Finals matches were followed by an enjoyable evening of wonderfully tasty and colourful Caribbean specialities provided by Club caterers, HOSPITALITY PLUS, and almost everyone joining in a limbo-dancing competition organised by CHRIS TAYLOR.

The whole event was so successful that we may even expand it for 2006, perhaps even venturing into Racketball Doubles!
