EBBISHAM is holding its fifth Junior Graded Tournament (Click here for entry form) incorporating 10 separate events/grades for juniors aged 15 and under as follows:

EBBISHAM held its fourth Junior Graded Tournament incorporating 9 separate events/grades with 114 entrants overall, including 35 from Ebbisham. Click here for a full report.

N.B. For juniors aged 16 & over (or younger juniors of an appropriate standard), they are eligible to enter Ebbisham's Adult Graded Tournament in January 2007 as follows (click here for Adult Graded Entry Form) :-

Saturday, 13th January 2007: Adult Graded:
        Grades A1/A2, B1/B2 (2 events for those aged 16 & over)

Sunday, 14th January 2007: Adult Graded:
        Grades C1/C2, D1/D2, E1/E2 (3 events for those aged 16 & over)

JUNIOR SQUASH TEAM T-SHIRT SPONSORSHIP BY CARPETWORLD FOR A SECOND TIME

For 2004-5 season, Ebbisham entered 5 team squads (30 juniors) and proudly wore brand new white/navy T-shirts sponsored by Carpetworld of Epsom, thanks to the generosity of Ebbisham member, Chris Lucas whose son is a member of the 1st Team. The T-shirts must have inspired them as all 5 teams came top of their Divisions in the Surrey Junior Cup League that season!

Two years on, we've got lots of new players and no T-shirts left, so Chris Lucas/Carpetworld have very generously agreed to sponsor our 6 junior teams for 2006-7 for yet another batch of T-shirts - white/red ones this time! Thanks Chris!

EBBISHAM JUNIOR TEAM SUCCESS 2005 - 6

With 6 junior teams in the Surrey Junior Cup this has been a challenging year with mixed fortunes but tighter and more challenging matches will inevitably benefit the children in the longer term. Final results are still awaited but 3 of the 6 teams have done very well – particularly the Ebbisham 1st Junior Team who are SURREY JUNIOR CHAMPIONS again for the FOURTH YEAR RUNNING!

SURREY YOUTH GAMES 2006

Ebbisham are again providing free venue/coaching facilities for the Mini Squash and Squash Squads this year. With 13-16 Squad members for both Mini Squash (Yrs 4 & 5) and Squash (Yr 6 & below), it will be a hard task to choose just 8 players per Team who will represent the Epsom & Ewell Borough at the Surrey Youth Games in Guildford on 24th & 25th June 2006.

NATIONAL & COUNTY TOURNAMENT SUPERSTARS

A number of Ebbisham juniors have achieved fantastic results and National & County rankings in various Tournaments all over the country and abroad – too many to mention in this newsletter but highlighted in the Junior Squash Newsletters found on the Squash Court Balcony Notice Board.

SHELL COMMUNITY ACTION GRANT

One of the Squash Committee members successfully applied for a £350 grant from Shell International to help Ebbisham buy Mini Squash equipment, organise/host future Junior Squash school ‘tasters’, Festivals, Surrey Youth Games coaching and Junior Graded Tournaments for 2004-5.
