EBBISHAM SQUASH CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 26TH - 30TH MARCH & 16TH - 28TH APRIL 2007
Due to increased numbers of entrants over the past few years, this year's Ebbisham Annual Squash Championships is being extended over a longer period rather than the usual 2 weeks. First Round matches will be held from 26th - 30th March, with a 2 week break over the Easter holiday period, commencing again from 16th April through to Finals Night on 28th April 2007.
In addition to the usual 11 events as usual (Mens Open & Plate, Ladies Open & Plate, Mens Handicap, Ladies Handicap, Veterans, Vintage, Mens Doubles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles), we may well have a Mens Doubles Plate event this year as we had 20 pairs last year and could have even more this year.
The Championships are open to all Ebbisham Squash Adult Full and Off-Peak Squash Members, plus Unrestricted/Advanced Juniors. Members should have received individual entry forms or there are more on the Club Notice Boards. Entry deadline is end February with the Draws up on the Board by 17th March 2007. EBBISHAM ANNUAL SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006
The biggest and best Ebbisham squash event of the year – the Annual Squash Championships - was held from 17th March to 1st April 2006.
There were 11 events as usual (Mens Open & Plate, Ladies Open & Plate, Mens Handicap, Ladies Handicap, Veterans, Vintage, Mens Doubles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles) which were open to all Ebbisham Squash Adult Full and Off-Peak Squash Members, plus Unrestricted/Advanced Juniors.
Numbers of entrants were up again this year for all events (e.g. 47 for the Mens Open and 20 Mens pairs fighting it out for the Doubles title!) so match scheduling was very tight to fit it all in over 2 weeks.
Full courts every night and plenty of spectators throughout culminated in a very exciting Finals Night on Saturday 1st April, with over 90 people watching the Junior & Adult Finals matches, followed by presentations of glassware and trophies, and a fantastic buffet for Ebbisham entrants, families and their guests.
Thanks to all those who took part and congratulations to Winners and Runner-ups Click Here for further details.

SILVER CLUB CHARTER STATUS FOR EBBISHAM
Having achieved Bronze Club Charter status from National Governing Body England Squash in July 2003, Ebbisham Sports Club was recently awarded Silver Club Charter status. This award is presented to Clubs which provide an environment which is safe and friendly, accessible and welcoming, has good facilities, provides a range of coaching, hosts competitive events and fosters links with local schools.

CLUB CHARTER
Club Charter is a new initiative by the national body, England Squash, to create a network of squash clubs around the country which are safe and child friendly, accessible and welcoming, have good facilities and provide a range of coaching and competitive opportunities. Clubs have to fulfill and work their way up through various levels of ‘excellence’ criteria to achieve Bronze, Silver or Gold Charter status. We are now working our way towards Gold Charter status – for details, have a look at the literature on the balcony table.
