2007 Tennis Finals Day

Saturday 21st July 2007

Organisers: Lesley Coles & Richard Clayton

Umpires: Richard Clayton, Terry Coles and Kevin Moore.

The 2007 Tennis Championships are now over – completed on time, despite the rain, not just on finals day but throughout the summer! Thanks to all who entered (a record number this year) for playing all your matches on time (well almost) in adverse conditions. There were some very competitive games throughout the events, which were enjoyed by players and spectators alike. It was good to see so many of our younger members taking such an enthusiastic and successful part. Unfortunately several players were forced to withdraw during the competitions (the ladies were particularly prone to injury this year) but this opened the way for others to show their prowess on court.

This year we have different champions in all events and it is great to see new names on the trophies. Congratulations to all our winners!
