The Ebbisham badminton section is affiliated to Badminton England and the Surrey County Badminton Association. In 2007 it achieved Premier Club Accreditation and Clubmark Status and in 2009 Ebbisham was designated the Badminton Performance Centre for Surrey.
The Club has a dedicated badminton hall with 3 courts, sprung timber flooring, dark walls and side lighting.
Adult members of a similar standard play on a regular night each week throughout the year in graded sessions. A (the top grade) meet on Wednesdays, B meet on Thursdays and C meet on Tuesdays. A tab/peg system enables you to play with different members during the evening. New members are required to play-in to determine their standard and there are annual assessed play-ups for existing members.
Courts are available for hire outside the session times with reduced rates and advance booking for members. Non-members may also book badminton courts during the day. In addition, local businesses and groups may block-book courts at preferential rates in return for a year-round commitment.
Junior members follow either the Club or the Performance Centre pathway. The three club pathway junior sections enjoy coaching on Sundays. The four Performance Centre sections receive coaching throughout the year on weekdays after school.
